My “General Health” staple supplements

  • Probiotic: improving gut health and digestion is key for both fat loss and muscle gain. Improved gut bacteria will also improve immune system function. The best time to take probiotics, in my opinion, is first thing in the morning.
  • Multi-Vitamin: having a good quality multi vitamin is essential for liver and adrenal function. I recommend taking 4 tablets daily – 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening with meals.
  • Vitamin D3: the benefits of adequate vitamin D3 levels are improved reproductive health, improved blood sugar management, kidney, bone and immune health. I recommend 5000IU daily, taken in the evening (with magnesium 1 hour before bed).
  • Magnesium: the anti stress mineral – lowering cortisol is not the only function of magnesium. Individuals with adequate magnesium levels have improved blood sugar regulation, better quality sleep and brain function. Magnesium is best taken in the evening – I recommend 4 tablets.
